The selection is large and reading experience is great, when you're actually reading, but that's where the positives end. This app is completely lacking in any real QoL. Your shelf is just a mess of what you're following, you're not even allowed to rearrange them. They used to at least mark a series with "new" in your shelf when a new chapter released, but they even took that away! Can't search without it closing my keyboard after every single letter. You get a lot for Free, and following Mangas in real-time is fine, but there's a caveat; Coupons, you can only read each Chapter for free once, which might not be a terrible idea, but if you want to re-read anything, you'll need a Subscription. Furthermore, leaving my phone idle risks the images to have a Loading Error, which wouldn't be an issue as is, but backing out to reload ends up wasting the Coupon, so I can't read all the Chapters and might end up on MangaFox to finish anyway. *shrug* Edited

I like the "first read is free" system, but it is WAY too zealous with enforcing it. It's really easy to accidentally swipe wrong, and have your phone register is as a "back" rather than a "next page" - closing the chapter and locking you out of it until you pay for premium. Or maybe you want to close it really quick to favorite the series before you forget, or got confused and want to roll back. Or maybe the back button looked too much like a menu button, or you dared to change the language. Edited

it uses the battery so much that it makes my phone hot to the touch. it's not a super old phone either. you should close and reopen the app every 10 to 20 chapters, or it'll freeze up and crash. with the first reads free system, you risk losing the chapter you are on if it crashes. it's fine for a free method of reading comics, but I have zero interest in paying for premium if it's just more of this.

Going to be very critical here and say the app has been damn near useless lately. Most of the time the chapters won't load most of the time within the last few months. The interface of choosing a manga to read the most recent chapter instead of going to the manga page has always been in issue, but is compounded by the issue of not having features that you can do on other apps like consistently being able to read chapters and saving your spot in case the app has a critical error and closes.
