There are a lot of issues when you switch screens: screens freezing for a long time or permanently, screen staying black, screen staying gray, etc. It's a Kemco game, so it's the same level of quality we all love, but that screen issue is a huge problem. Hopefully it can be fixed in a patch.

You can definitely tell this started as one of the earlier games. The mix-and-match elemental system is kind of interesting and the early combo spells are powerful and cheap, so learning the system is rewarding. The inability to warp from towns is pretty inconvenient, though. I hope the characters develop a little more; at this point (the Energi Lab), they are a bit flat (but Vanessa is super cool). Also, please quality check the intro cutscene text.

It's seriously about time for EXE-CREATE to invest in some new SFX. The ones they used here are the exact same ones from darn near all their other Kemco-collab titles. They could've, at the very least, reused the SFX from the original Alphadia games. The rewards you get from the bestiary are all bland - nothing but healing items and stat boosters, no rare gear. There are also far too many errors in translation throughout the game, even in the Help section.

Definitely one of the best Kemco games along side Monochrome Order (I highly recommend). The story telling flows well and the conversations are well written. Even npcs feel distinct in a way. Haven't finished the first game but I could see this game to be top-notch. The grinding aspect is simple (always go for the hardest difficulty). Given the chance to choose your party members and the magic they may use are good features. Keep up the good work Kemco ✨

Currently 8 hrs into Alphadia I. Very basic JRPG but incredibly well done. A decent story with the usual high-stakes drama, hidden pasts and love triangles. Haven't needed to spend a penny beyond initial purchase (always a good thing) and the game isn't gruellingly challenging (but is grindy). I am enjoying my time with the game and am looking forward to diving straight into Alphadia II afterwards.
