The reviews that say there's no gameplay kind of miss the point of the visual novel genre, though admittedly this one has very little story branching. It is mostly just reading a story with the occasional options to make a (typically) binary choice that has a right and wrong answer. The story is a bit anime style trope-y but despite this, I really ended up liking this story much more than I expected. It's just a very "hope in hopeless situation" story and is well written overall. Edited

An incredible visual novel. It's 40-50 hours long reading quickly and is fully voice acted in Japanese. About 90% of what makes it good is the story. The characters all have an interesting backstory and act as characters instead of plot devices. There is often a build up to moments that will move you to tears. Virtually no plot holes. It's worth reading despite typos, a slow start, decisions that don't add anything, and out of place suggestive scenes (few and far between.) Strong writing overall Edited

This is a pretty engaging VN so far. As for those saying it has no "gameplay" and leaving bad reviews because of that, it literally says it's a visual novel at the top of the description, not a game.

When I downloaded this, I knew it was a visual novel & not a game, cos it SAYS it's a VISUAL NOVEL (people that give this a poor rating due to it not being a game). Though it's not MY jam, it IS a most beautiful, labor of love.
