Really enjoyed the first one, and looked forward to this. There are a lot of upgrades and additions that I like about this game, like the heart system and leveling up stores and facilities. What kills it for me and the reason for 3 stars, is the way you build stairs. Last game, place them anywhere. This game, there are too many specifications and you end up spending too much money on them (sometimes over $2K just for one set) that it takes a lot of the joy out of the game.

It was fun up to a point, but your playtime for the most part becomes bringing up menus to level up and enhance stores. Combos often don't make much sense and you can only buy 3 in a year, which means you can't get down to working out the layout of your mall right away which should be the fun part. It also gets really laggy. As of right now, I think it's better to just play the old Mega Mall Story.

The menu is a bit better than the first mall game, combos still exist, and the cash production is bad everywhere. Plus like the other mall game, using the tools has a price but it's always extremely high away from that amount when you want to use them. Having to upgrade so much with so much failures, and low rewards/ profits just make the game feels like a boring waste.

The game could explain what symbols mean and what you should do with them better. It's also extremely fast paced which can get incredibly frustrating when it's happening for seemingly no reason. The game is fun!! First, you're just building a mall but as you go and find out what stores work best together, you have to work with the space you have, decide if stores are worth keeping or need to go for space. There's missions/customer requests to keep it moving to help keep it moving forward.

It's a decent game but there are some huge issues with the dialogs. They're frequently pulling the wrong values and/or putting them in the wrong place, resulting in requests or instructions that are completely incoherent. There's also a lot of aspects that are not explained at all. I gave it several good tries but it got too frustrating to continue playing.
