Good, but doesn't feel quite finished. The English translation is poor and often confusing, making it difficult to understand how to play the game. (E.g. do I want defiant students for defiant jobs or not?) Some quality of life issues with the UX. The process of organising and reassigning teachers, for example; the information you need always seems to be in another menu. I do like some of the improvements they've made on the original. And as always, gloriously free of ads and microtransactions. Edited

Years ago I bought the first Pocket Academy and loved it. This is so much more in depth than the first. The game seems to run a lot smoother as well. They've added a lot of special classes for your students, events, hot spots, and facilities. Kairosoft's games have a similar setup but are all so fun and unique. They make you strategize and are challenging but fun. Totally recommend this is you are into simulation games and strategy games. Only complaint is that some translations are off.

A worthy sequel! I flew threw to first scoring on this title. Nothing too fiddly, and I really like the rhythm of the school year with its varied events. This one does have discoverable combos, but there are "hints" when placing buildings that show potential compatibility, which is something I hope to continue to see when combos are involved. Good job as usual, Kairosoft!

I played most of the Pocket academies, the first was my favorite and I bought it almost outright (played the demo first). I don't recall two much, or if there even was one to be honest.. the point is this is a solid game, it maintains alot of the old and implements a good portion of new. Although there are some features I really miss, like the function of changing the school uniform, randomization of students (of course there'd be repeats each year, but not them coming back after graduation).

Almost amazing but so many small things add up to a frustrating new game + experience. The biggest problem is there are too many things going on; only half of them add to the game play. The rest are irritating interruptions while you're trying to build spots and organize your layout. Even stuff I like, like clubs, there are just too many. I'm so happy Kairosoft has gone back to real games, and I'm always excited to see new ones, but I wish they would cut some stuff out and spend time polishing.
