Pros: I like the cooking and skating competition minigames, they add nice variety. The SNS request system is fun. The animations are cute, especially for skating. Cons: I wish there were combos and a more robust NG+ system like the one Forest Camp Story has. The animations for promotion and learning new skills become very tedious later in the game. Still a solid entry, but not one I'm likely to come back to.

It's fine. Kairosoft games are generally several cuts above standard mobile gaming fare, but this one just doesn't have enough content. It's too easy to complete in the first run-through, so New Game+ isn't worthwhile (and has disappointing carryovers anyway), and the end game involves a ton of just waiting around, letting the game play itself while you try to accumulate enough research points and cash. Too bad. Hopefully the next one will be more up to their standard.

Skating Rink Story is absolutely delightful. Bright and colourful, the game is full of lots of fun options for building your own skating rink. A clear recipe system makes creating dishes easy, you unlock facitilities as you go and you get a few different rinks to add in your space. Clear points are calculated at 12 years, which is a nice change from 10. The skaters are SO cute, the contests can be challenging so keep your skaters trained! I absolutely love it. So I've played for quite a bit on this game now, and man this is goooooood! The competitions, Leveling up instructors, learning new skills, and building my ice rink have been incredible! Definitely worth the purchase, theres tons to do, next they need a ballroom dancing game where you do ballet, tango, etc.

I think it has potential to be one of their best. I love the skating animations, the music and rink sounds are great, and I really enjoyed the mix of developing your rink, cooking, and training your skaters for competition. Main complaint: there needs to be way more content. More areas, more ingredients, more customers. It felt too short. Eventually I just ran out of places to go and things to do, even on my 1st playthrough. Also New Game Plus is disappointing -- you hardly get to keep anything. Edited
