So I've used the free version of xmind for desktop for years to map out screenplays. The desktop version allows me to add images for free. However, this mobile version ask for a subscription. It should be a flat rate of all they offer is the ability to add images and exporting. Subscriptions are for services and not features. Doesn't make sense to me. Especially when there are other mind mapping apps that also allow to add images for free. Plus there is no import or sync feature that allows me to have my desktop maps in mobile form. Very disappointed. Edited

Best mind map I have found so far. Feels almost like a desktop application. Logical controls. Free version has no ads. Want to give XMind 3-1/2 stars. Would give even higher rating, but there are a few shortcomings. Expensive monthly subscription, with no option of choosing an ad banner instead. I have too many subscriptions as is and they get costly. No search feature within each mind map --- this may require an upgrade. Entire diagram is very jumpy on Android 8.0.0. Edited

the interface is a bit awkward, but that's almost expected on mobile. The said: The moment I opened the program and could not access my files because I wasn't online, the app became useless. I was never told the app was online only.

looks like the cloud syncing was added. I give you the 5th star ✨ 😁 . . old: Guys. Are you serious? No cloud syncing? What? In 2024? And some weird features like transferring files between devices with WI Fi? Overall a very good app, I will continue using it with Google drive, like in stone age. I really hope you will sort this out. 🙏 Edited

Though the app works pretty well and has good features, it's concerning that when closing the app it says "billing service disconnected", when I have not agreed to pay for premium, or in any way agreed to a subscription. I can't see any reason why the app should do this, as it shouldn't have access to any of my billing info. If you're concerned about privacy I would give this app a pass, and I will be finding another app that makes me feel more secure about my data and billing info
