This series (3 books completed so far) is an amazing read. I've reread these many times over the last few years. The author is fantastic at what they do. There's 4 romance options and many stats that affect how the story unfolds. The romance is an INCREDIBLY, FRUSTRATINGLY, slow-burn, with only mild flirting in the 1st book. However, I do feel the story is engaging enough that you don't really feel it as a big loss. Your choices are widely varied and affect the plot but not really the ending. Edited

This game definitely has more of a visual novel feel than other games by the same company, where you generally focus on a character and get their unique interactions. I felt the characters fit into standard tropes that was a bit predictable. Not for me, but the writing is very good and I recommend continuing the series if you like this kind of style and seeing where the romances go. Edited

Not my favorite, but still not bad! I appreciate the amount of choices you have regarding the MC and their personality. You can choose different emotional reactions to events - not just physical ones - which I really like as it helps develope your character. Some of the dramatic irony can be irritating. It gets frustrating when you know something the MC doesn't, and while perhaps that added to the experience for others; it didn't me. I would have preferred to learn things at the same rate. Edited

I've played a few hosted games, and I was initially a bit mixed about trying this one. I've never been interested in the supernatural styled stories, but the game immediately drew me in with an original engaging story, simply amazing and likeable characters, and a quality of writing that is honestly a cut above similar games I've played. It's definitely worth checking out, and if you have $5 you're willing to part with, it's more than worth it to take a trip to the little town of Wayhaven.

An excellent CYOA game, but no Achievements unlike almost every other one that I have played. The characters are diverse and you have a fair amount of freedom to shape the plot line, though as a book one, you can tell that some of the events are forced. It would be nice if more ends were added like premature deaths and memory wipes or whatnot to keep it interesting while waiting for the next book to come out. As long as the next game is $5 I will buy it. I cannot wait to see how the story ends. Edited
