I have a Samsung S24 and have been trying to use the app for the past two weeks and it continues to crash. Would really like to buy the paid version but won't do so until I know the app won't crash. This app would then be so convenient for field work instead of carrying a book around

Hi Naquita, the latest Android device software is causing the app to crash due to compatibility issues. We are urgently working to fix the compatibility issue and will release a new update as soon as possible.

Not as comprehensive as it seems. Lacks several really well known and interesting species, like for instance Olea capensis. Often does not produce result for species searched by their locally known names. The app tends to crash and then remain unusable until reinstallation (Samsung Galaxy S9).

I have Android devices. This app has amazing capabilities, and is a must for both beginner and experienced indigenous tree enthusiasts. Previously I carried around several heavy tree books. Now all the information I need is on my android phone and tablet, and I use the app, often several times a day. I highly recommend this App, regular updates, and customer support is excellent. The most informative and useful tool for getting to know the trees and plants of South Africa. With its built in search functions and interactive guidance and help features, there is no better way to build knowledge of, and enjoy the wonderful tree and plant life of this country. With the use of The Tree App, I could fairly quickly help to compile a tree identification list for a farm in the Waterberg. In the process I could even correct a book relying tree specialist on some species!

Downloading 500+mb and nothing works. App crashes if you click any button. Would be nice to have something free before being assaulted by the token screen for purchasing the app. Why would I pay if it promptly crashes all the time?
