This app, and the people behind it, are excellent. But I'm deleting it, for 2 reasons: the only Pro feature I need is no ads, but that's not an option; its unusual, annoying login process: instead of e-mail/password, it's e-mail/one-time code e-mailed to you. Since I can't always access my e-mail, I can't always use the app. I've asked for a one-time 'ad-free' fee, and plan to ask for alternate methods of receiving your code, e.g., text or phone call. I'll reinstall if these changes are made.

Perplexity is the best AI chatbot, and I've used all the major ones - Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, and DeepSeek. Perplexity returns the most detailed and accurate responses to queries. It gives you the sources it is drawing from which is helpful if you need to cite sources or do more research. It also shows a list of similar queries that you can click on to get even more information. I've only used the free versions I mentioned above, so I can't speak for the pros and cons of the paid versions.

Excellent. Love the 3 tiers of answers, and the ability to ask follow-up questions. Plus, the app itself is very user-friendly. If I want to see more resources from a particular perspective, it will give me more articles and other resources within seconds. It was able to give me sooo much information on such specific topics (like the doctrinal views of specific early Church Fathers, for example), I'm super impressed! Edited

normally i keep my ad blocker on but for some reason i wont understand, I saw the ad for Perplexity Pro for 12 months FREE, $200 value, clicked it right away and installed on the Samsung play store, opened the app and in settings went to 'manage subscription' and that took me to the perplexity ai website. It simply said 'perplexity is better on the app!' and when I clicked that, it automatically upgrade me to pro! woo! 12 months free and i didnt even have to add a credit/debit card?? sweeeeet.

Definitely one of the best apps I've ever used it's an app I use constantly throughout the day throughout the week. I would say that for most things that I'm looking for whether it be a quick factual answer whether it be a more in-depth conversation about something particularly if it's fact-based or information-based, I'm much more apt to go to perplexity than to search Google.
