About G30 - A Memory Maze (Demo)

A puzzle you haven’t seen before. A story you won’t forget. G30 – A Memory Maze is a unique and minimalistic take on the puzzle genre, where each level is hand-crafted and meaningful. 3 stars because the creators were kind enough to release a demo which isn't nearly common enough nowadays and is much appreciated. I didn't feel like there was a game here. The puzzle elements don't really require you to think and although the game is narrative driven I didn't feel any sort of attachment or agency. It was kind of like having to run on a wheel to power a kindle. Not a game, but a monotonous grind used to bloat the experience of reading an overly abstract and flowery story.

Thank you for your review! You’re right - the levels in demo version are easy and not challenging. They are the intro levels and the main purpose is just to show the basic mechanics. The true challenge starts in the second part of the game - there you can find the new mechanics and some really hard levels to solve. Same with the story.

Simple, elegant and beautiful. Very relaxing. The puzzle solutions are poetic and profound. Ivan Kovalov is definitely plugged into the universe. The full version is well worth paying for to support this talented developer and this type of quality content. Also, there are no ads to interrupt the demo experience. More developers should follow this business model.

It's just a demo with like 5 levels. There's literally nothing beyond that. You have to pay if you want the full version.

You are right - this is the demo version of the game as the title describes. It contains only first 9 levels. The full version of the game contains about 45 individually designed and developed levels with the new mechanics, hidden story, additional game modes and many more. It doesn't contain any ADs and In-App Purchases, so yes it is a paid game.

Not much of a puzzle, maybe the full version is more so but the demo definitely isn't very difficult. Also some of the sentences of the story dont make sence or read really weird. Has nice music and graphics tho.

An interesting game, launched the right way with a playable demo, followed by the payment for the full version if you like it. No developer greed, no micro transactions, with pay to win formats, no intrusive ads. People should be actively paying for good games like this, to support the industry and move away from dev's who burn their customers in pursuit of money. Kudos and long live G30.
