At first I thought this game was the absolute best mobile RPG I had played. The first two chapters are top notch with 5/5 play. However, chapter 3 happens. It was not done well and is so focused on arena battles and walking around towns that it just kills me. It moved away from what made the first two chapters so good. The boss fights lasting 30-40 mins is also ridiculous in chapter 3.

Absolutely excellent. If you like retro rpgs, then this is an instant modern classic. If you're familiar with Ultima vibes, then you'll be fairly at home. Otherwise, learn the tp system with an initial stab and then restart and roll your own party when you understand what's going on. 10/10, this is among the best mobile games imo. My only gripe is wishing I could change battle formation so that any party member could be the "leader" visually speaking. Edited

This is a hard game to get into, but once you get into it, there's a legit amount of depth. If you have heard of Wizardry 8 (which was based on D&D), this game is very similar to that but in 2D. Lots of fights, the fights are very slow, and there's difficulty spikes everywhere. Only play this if you want your brain to become one with team strategy, because this game will not hold your hand. On PC, I would be harsher in my review, but I like to support devs putting real games on phones.

It will blow your socks off if you are a fan of the genera. Classic style and very well done. Best money I have spent on the play store in a while. Huge bonus: No adds, no IAP and runs in airplane mode/no reception. Edit: 2 years later and this game still has my attention. Its lime an old friend. I save my playtime for when I travel for work and have no wifi. Over 100 hours and I have a bunch of parties i want to try and characters i want to make. Thanks again to the Developer for making this awesome game. :)

Wow, this game is great. Old school RPG with a grid-based tactical combat system. There is so much to love with this game. Procedural content generation, a highly configurable (e.g. set actions, but also set triggers for stopping auto combat if health goes below some % of total) auto-combat system that lets you dash through easy fights to reduce grind. The UI occasionally gets in the way, like finding all the additional pages of spells and abilities in the level-up interface, but I was able to figure everything out easily enough in the end. Highly recommended. A+. 11/10.
