Short (completed within one day), but lots of fun and well worth it. Bonus points for dark mode! Early puzzles are simple, to demonstrate the mechanics of the game, but then become complex. Idea to improve replayability: add a rating for each puzzle! For example: three stars for completing with no mistakes in the minimum number of moves, two stars for completing with no mistakes, one star for completion (minimum number of moves won't apply to most easier puzzles, but you get the idea).

The levels start out extremely simple, but the experience on each level develops skills needed for the next. They get progressively more difficult and one has a maximum of three lifelines before having to start the level over again. I completed the game on a smartphone but would recommend using a tablet, especially for the later levels. I enjoyed the experience and wish it had been longer, though I can't imagine how complex additional levels might have been. It's worth the price of admission.

I rarely purchase phone games, but I LOVED the original HOOK... But HOOK 2 is not the same. The puzzles are 3D, so you have to maneuver the screen to different angles. I found it difficult to adjust the angles, and the puzzles were too easy. The most challenging part was the controls. If you're considering buying this game, do so without the expectation that it will be like the first one. The game is decent on its own, but really disappointing as someone who expected more of the original.

Thanks for checking it out :) Hook got an update with extra levels and more levels are coming to both games in the future. Cheers!

The 3D design gets in its own way. At first I was impressed with how they were able to keep their concept fresh and different, but the last few levels made me want to throw my phone. Being 3D, you just can't see the details of the puzzles as they are all on top of each other and blend in. So infuriating.

Be it be the original hook or its sequel, these games are relaxing and are just a lovely experience all in. They may not be the most challenging puzzle games out there but I feel that isn't the point. I honestly love that these games teach their mechanics through level design with hook 2 having its main new mechanic introduced in what I find to be such a charming and organic way it just shows the dev has a real passion for level design and their games Edited
