Amazing game! Stolen comment -Slay The Spire is all about balance, where this one is all about breaking it. Coming up with whatever insane combo works best and abuse it. Ive put a lot of hours in rouge-like deck builders and this one has a fresh new gameplay. Managing 3 floors, creatures and combos is challenging. Each deck feels very different and a new strategy is needed for each combo and whatever you are trying to build into. tons of replay. I love the try before you buy, no pressure purchas

I've played monster train for a while now, started on my PC. I wanted more games like slay the spire, and this scratched that itch, but they are very different games. StS is a perfectly balanced game that often comes down to one or two points of health. Monster train is a game that's about how far you can push their systems, because if you don't, you are not going to win in higher levels. It's really quite a blast.

Really good game to play! Engaging deckbuilder similar to Slay the Spire but more breadth, less depth. What holds me back from a 5 star review is some UI issues I don't really see with PC, but otherwise nice! Also, if you've purchased the game, you need to attempt/clear a tutorial run and begin a run to select clans in order to get the rest of the content and not be stuck in infinite tutorial loop, as it won't save your run spot in the tutorial run specifically, so keep that in mind! I love Monster Train!! I played it on PC and now I can take it with me. SO much replayability, close calls and brain racking strategizing galore, leading to some very satisfying victories. if you like rogue-lite deckbuilders, this game can bring you hundreds of hours of fun. Careful though, it's easy to get sucked into, and before you know it, you've lost hours of the day. The only negative I can think of is that it's certainly a battery drain. But so woth it, and for only 10 bucks!

Absolutely fantastic game. I've bought this on 3 other devices and put hundreds of hours into it. Weird bug though: Apparently the game spaces out the cards in your hand based on screen height to width ratio of your phone. It's unplayable when I have my phone unfolded because the cards are nearly on top of each other since height to width is close to 1:1. It's fine with the regular main screen, which us close in size to a standard smart phone.
