I have been using this app for so long I can't even remember when I first installed it. I listen to audiobooks every single day. it is such an amazing app. The way I can start on one device and then pick it up somewhere else on another device. how it connects to my Android Auto. The sleep shake feature is amazing. I cannot say enough about Jared the dev. I've had very few issues over the years but when I did he was incredibly responsive. after all these years he is still updating is fantastic. Edited

This app is a true gem for audiobook lovers. It just works — no unnecessary ads, no complications, no glitches. I set up my main folder with books, the app automatically detected the structure, remembers progress for each book, and gives me full control over what, when, and how I want to listen. It works like an old, reliable Mercedes E300 diesel — maybe not flashy, but stable, elegant, and always gets you where you need to go. It has a nice interface and lots of configurable options, but there are a few quirks in the audio tags handling. I like the library browser from Smart Audiobook Player better. It would be great to have more flexibility on the audio tags shown in the library browser. E.g. album, title, artist, year, comments, custom tags, etc. And then, being able to filter on these... this by far has to be one of my favorite book players with one flaw that at this point like the other 2 favorites, is a major issue. this like others does not, have casting support. how music players can do casting and audio book apps are still sleeping on this, is kind of weak wouldn't yall say? if i'm listening to a graphic audio book etc, i should be able to listen to this on what i cast this to not just a bland speaker on phone and or headphones. all listening ways should be included so that we have options instead of being forced to except 1 or 2 ways of listening. this is equally important for an app like this cause u can set this up to play books 1 right after the other. rather regular audio books or graphic audio books, this casting should be added. so one can play on a regular cc or a CCA meaning (cromecast audio) casting has been around for a while so i really feel its time to get with program. when this is added, i promise this will return to a 5 star rateing.

Update: Great chapters feature working well. Still like it better than Audible. ☺ Great flexible options for pause/rewind on events, pause vs not for short audio events like GPS navigation prompts cutting in. Supports opus (which is great for quality at small file size. Cross device position sync via Dropbox works nicely too. Cheers to the dev, Thanks.
