Descent app but hasn't been kept up to date. I used to use it but it didn't have enough info on how to use it if you don't already understand an MPC. Then I found Koala sampler and never looked back. I'd recommend checking that out if you aren't already proficient with an MPC and want a tool that is under continuous development and brings in new features that MPC machine is missing like sample stem separation and a lots of sound effects.

Too good to be true. Everything was fine, was feeling confident about my purchase honestly. Made 2 beats at work, even listened to them in the car. Exported the stems, so I can work with them in the studio. Opened the app back up one more time and bam! All my beats gone. Wont play. Keeps asking for "Track Name?". Thank god I exported 1, but the other one is gone forever?? It literally erased my beats on its on. Dont even want my $10 back. Here goes the robotic answer:

For what it is, app is pretty useful for production and a good learning experience moving between hardware to software. If you have a good understanding of the theory and math behind music production and being familiar with Akai Professional products, Overall, I believe this app would come in handy.

Great app with a wide range of functionality based on what mpc workflow. Doesn't allow vst use (that I know of), but provides a lot of options for manipulation of samples. 4 stars because the display does not adjust to Motorola One 5-UW screen (longer than most screens), causing the "lcd screen" to obscure display. Also, no guidance for many options, like fx sends and pad options prompted by option 1 button. Anyone find anything besides the first few vids in a Google search?

It will no longer allow me to load any samples to pads even from its own library. Also the pitch pads still haven't been fixed. Still doesn't play a tuned chromatic scale just a random division of pitch. You should also definately make the effort to get together a decent pdf manual considering it's price and complexity. I come from a mpc background but Im only finding out how some of the navigation works by trial, error and luck Edited
