I started with metronome, liked it and went on to Pro. I thought it was a one year subscription, didn't work out that way. I think it was something in my phone because several other apps have - had issues. Purchased the metronome again today for $4.99 and that too, went away. I am not blaming Stonekick, it was good while it lasted though.

Hi, once you have purchased Metronome Beats Pro you shouldn't have to pay again. If you are still having problems please get in contact at

Awesome and useful! Ads are completely unobtrusive (banner only), and it's SO rare in 2025 to find an app with a free version that's this fully functional. I've already shilled it to my drum instructor! 😄 I don't yet have a use for the paid features, but I suspect I will in the future, and at that point, I will gladly buy the paid version of this app because of how great the free version is and especially because it's a one-time purchase (also exceedingly rare these days). Thanks devs!

This is a stock standard metronome app. Which is fantastic! I can subdivide beats by as many values as I want, change the bar structure, tap a tempo, change the sounds.... basically everything you'd want from a metronome. And by far, its best value feature is that you can make a one-time purchase and not have to worry about any subscription rubbish. THANK YOU to the devs for not going that route. The ONLY feature that I feel is missing is a vocal sound set to count rather than just presets. Edited

I wasted way too much time trying metronome apps that had poor UIs or dumb bugs. I should pay $40+ a year to "subscribe" to something like that? No way. Would I have to try 30 apps to get a good one? Fortunately not, after finding Metronome Beats. The app has an intuitive, logical UI and good features. It didn't take long to figure out how to use it. Kudos to the developers for good design and a user-friendly pricing scheme. I'll upgrade to the paid version for sure. Edited

This is a no nonsense metronome app. You can set the beats per minute, beats per bar (usually 4 for 4/4 time, clicks per beat (usually 1 for a 1/4 note or two for an 1/8 note). You can tap to a song to set the tempo or set it manually. There are unobtrusive ads at the top or bottom around a typical line or two of text high. That's everything I need.
