A decent time killer, but I have my gripes with it. For starters: Balance. Oh my Lord balance. It's unfortunate the amount of money that must be spent with a new character just to get started. The food in game does very little for your hunger, which makes paying for bars and taverns required. Save game handling is an issue too, and if you have more money than required for an inn, deposit money and then die, your save is reverted and you lose half the money you had before depositing into bank.

This has lowkey been my favorite game lately. It's not a hard game, but it is fun to discover new places and recipes for things and collect cool monsters as pets to fight with. It rewards good planning, memory and good character builds in a way that is fun to play in multiple different styles. Also, there is no wiki so you actually have to experiment a little for yourself. Highly underappreciated game imo and has a good soundtrack with addissional in game collectibles that unlock new tracks.

Just bought it and spent about 30 minutes playing and already I'm liking the game. The music is a vast improvement from the last game and the look of the game is more smooth and polished. So far I'm enjoying myself and can't wait to see more stuff added to the game. Nice work Dev! Edit: thank you for fixing the minimap in the game! That was the only thing that was slightly bugging me but I figured it was a graphical choice and I adjusted to it but now it isn't an issue. Thanks again! Edited

Ok I've played it for several hours non stop sense my original review. I must be doing something wrong because I'm having a hard time progressing and it seems like everything is expensive. I have lots of known recipes but gathering the resources or buying the tools (or crafting the tools needed to gather the resources to craft the tools) and then breaking so suddenly is maddening. Love this game 5* no questions about it. PC version on GOG for 1&2 would be awesome. Edited

Glad you like it!!!! About tools breaking, keep control of the number next to the tool name, it indicates the uses left. You can use a Whetstone to repair it, and you can unlock the Efficient and Professional skills to have chances of a tool not wasting usages every time you use it :)
Thanks and hope you have fun with the game! :D

I wasted night after night with the free version of the first game and happily upgraded to pro to waste some more time, and now its time to do it again! I can't sing enough praises about this sequel, which gives the original a fresh coat of paint, and more! As stated in a previous review, this works well with talkback, and the memorization of the symbols and their meanings is a non-issue for me. I'm really happy to see that I'm not the only one to hold this game in high regards. Keep it up! :)
