5🌟 FIXED. Menu on PC, >< on Android. Search all 1st, then in note. The one thing that stops me over and over is the search function. ALL the notes can be searched. But I can not search inside a note. This app works on Android and PC. It would be great to use it all the time, but... Whenever I try it "one more time" I try to use the search function, then I say "Oh yeah, that's why I don't use it." Otherwise, it would be great! But trying to find a single word in a large note is not fun at all. Edited

Edit: Yes, I turned off spellcheck on my Samsung keyboard and that worked, THANKS No longer a problem. I see in forums. simplenote this is a general problem with linger notes. Mostly great. BUT Why does each note jump to the end without any action from me? Then I have to find my place again. Seeking where I was, I accidentally deleted whole entries. Edited

simplenote apps and servers aren't perfect, but they are the gold standard of cross device cross platform information exchange. I have it on ios android Mac and windows. the windows app forgets to sync so I run the app out of a browser. this is a labor of cross platform information access love, a jouney no other platform would consider taking. no one else would do this for free or for money without clutter..it has problems. and yet it is the only true solution for all browser and device sync. I wanted to give this 5 stars, and I was excited to have finally found the best replacement for Evernote. However this one issue makes the app unusable: When you have several paragraphs in your note, and you go up to the first paragraph and start typing more text, the entire note constantly jumps and jitters, so you can't see where/what you are typing. So disappointing because I was excited to use this app.

I used to lose a few edits early on, but Simplnote has become a lot more reliable since I started using it in 2020. Now in 2024 I probably have a thousand or more notes in it. I use this for everything. It's not a perfect app; but whatever problems it has are compatible to 'the best' note apps; and these problems are often due to changes and limitations that Google imposes. Edited
