Edit: it's been 9 years since my last review and the app still runs slowly. This app does not appear to be a priority for Autotrader Original (2016): Still consolidates a good amount of listed car sales from the area. However user experience on this app is sub optimal. The app is laggy and filtering results can be quite difficult - I have far more fun browsing for cars on other apps than on this one :(

The app seems to be broken in some way, or multiple ways. The 'make' and 'model' drop downs that are front and center when the app is opened stay greyed out (unless freshly reinstalled), numerous boxes have a red error message asking to please retry because an error occurred. The listings, when you can load them, are great! This has been a reliable tool for years! Not sure what is happening, these issues are all fairly recent, and I'm happy to keep using it myself, but it does need to be fixed.

Used to be pretty great, although last version crashed every time you adjusted your search. New version is terrible. Not user friendly at all. No keyword entry available anymore. Can't select transmission style (most of the time), sometimes you can, other times the menu item disappears altogether. So sad. Used to love using auto trader app. Now it's a disappointing headache.

Great at finding vehicles. Not so great at functioning. Can't save anything. Which sort of defeats the purpose of using the app unless I make contact with the seller immediately after seeing the listing. I don't want to contact every single seller, I want to browse and choose the top candidates to contact but I cannot do that because I can't save any vehicles.

This is the worst app in my library. It is terribly outdated and clunky. UI looks terrible. Doesn't work while using a VPN. Now whenever I perform a search I get the sponsored results, and about 3 organic results then there is a large gray box that covers the rest of the page. No amount of scrolling will move past it, I can't change pages, etc. They just added pinch to zoom on images in 2024. Dev team is either a shell or not capable at this point. Edited
