This functions as advertised. It is very good at blocking the camera at all times. However, the app has poor integration with the times you want to use your camera. If you have a video call in Facebook or Whatsapp, if you want to take a picture or video, you must disable the app first. It is definitely cumbersome for these tasks. I would request integration become more fluid for these tasks. Yes, I want my camera blocked from intruders, but I might decide to use the camera again someday.

Hi Ben, thanks for your thoughtful feedback! 😊 We’re glad to hear the app works well for blocking, and we totally understand your point about convenience. The strict blocking is designed for maximum privacy, but we’re exploring ways to make switching between blocked and unblocked modes smoother for trusted apps. Regards, Peter, Author of the App😊

Pop up ads with loud audio...are you kidding??? No thanks!!! Over priced app. Has potential but has apparently been designed to make a lot of money rather than provide a great app. Ads are very aggressive and loud. Constant incessant reminders. Blocking the actual app for 2 hours in the evening to force subscriptions? This is just horrible. If you back up and stop being so greedy then you'll probably have a lot more subscriptions because this could be a good app. But it's not currently. Edited

Hi Ken, thanks for your honest feedback! We completely removed all ads in summer 2025 to make the experience smoother and privacy-focused. You can now enjoy the app ad-free. We really appreciate you giving it another try! Best regards, Peter, Author of the App 😊📱

The app seems to work although it's difficult to actually verify that. That said there should be something in the app that allows you to turn off all access to any app having access to your camera or microphone with one setting change in the app. The process of having to go through each individual app that has camera access and adjusting that access is laborious at best and mind numbing at worst

Doesn't do what it used to. It had a widget that would automatically open your phone for 10 min, or whatever you set it to. It doesn't do any of that anymore. Now it's just continually triggers spam commercials. They got rid of the widget, it only triggers commercials. There are other options out now, especially since they did away with the best feature. I had the paid version for a while, but it functioned completely differently, the free version was a better app. Not anymore.

Hi Andy, I am sorry to hear about your experience. In the next update, we'll reduce the number of commercials in the app to minimize interruptions. You no longer need to click on the widget or notification before taking a photo. Just open your camera app, and a dialog will appear for you to decide what to do. Regards, Peter, Author of the App

A very good and simple app. Works as described, it requires admin privileges, but this is expected. All you have to do is tap block and your good to go. It prevents all apps the permissions to access your camera, take pictures, and upload them online. You know it's working as intended when you try to access your camera and you get an error or retry screen. You can easily enable or disable it by tapping "unblock" or "block". Simple is best. Edited
