Used to work well but not on my new phone. It interferes with audio output while listening to anything playing on my phone. Also only works on battery saver method. Because of this app, while using YouTube, as soon as the screen powers off and screen locks, audio output changes to the ear piece for phone calls, then does switch back within a couple seconds to the loud speaker or Bluetooth, whichever was previously used. Update: previous issues were fixed. The app is working great. Edited

Very simple and effective way to protect your privacy. Everyone should have this protect at the minimum. Protect yourself please don't become a victim. Some phones don't even allow you to remove the battery and even the ones that do have a tiny backup to power your mic. Thank you guys for helping keep our private life private! Was good till they stopped updating. No longer working right with Android 9 or 10.....

UNINSTALLED It will not allow me to unblock indefinitely. I was recording video but when I watched it back, it silenced after a few minutes. And since I kept the camera open and I kept taking video, it was blocking the sound so now I have several videos with no sound at all! There should be a way I could unblock it for an indefinite amount of time. It won't allow me to use Bluetooth earbuds on video chat. I have Blink cameras installed in my home but I can't hear the audio from the videos.

Needs an ON/OFF widget. Also, no updates in over a year, so I'm guessing this app has been abandoned. I see it's free now, so yeah abandoned. I'm guessing Google probably made it impossible to block. I'm still on Android 12. It does still for most apps, just not Firefox. Thanks for your efforts. Edited

So, Google voice no longer shows incoming calls due to my mic being blocked. I just get voicemails now since mic blocker can't auto block and unblock mic based on apps launched or calls received. If I could get that feature, along with a darker dark theme and a few more customizable options, I'd give 4 stars. 5 stars if I didn't Have to tap everything in the app 4 times for it to register.
