The game itself is good. The gameplay is engaging and the game loop isn't actively frustrating. There are two major problems that hold it back though, first of all the amount of ads that are needed for more items, more in-game cash, revives, etc. which wouldn't be that bad, most free mobile games have loads of ads so it's fair enough. The problems start to arise though when you're in the actual ads, sometimes the ads just straight up break and you are forced to close the game, this stops rewards

Pay to win PvE. The gameplay is pretty fun and I love the variety of characters and skills. It's challenging, but possible to win the first few levels without buying anything or watching ads for upgrades. I hit a paywall once I got to "Danger Level 5". I could watch dozens of ads to get past it, but I'd rather delete the game.

It was fun until I purchased item... I was able to get through the first 5-6 lvls and then upgraded when game started getting harder. After I supported the game with a purchase and upgraded several things. I couldn't make it past the next level! It feels like once it makes a little $$ of you it wants to make a LOT!!!

Brotato, at its core, is a lovely game worthy of five stars. This version is not. It is so absurdly overmonetized that between each minute-or-less round there are no less than 6 "opportunities" to watch a 30s or longer ad, potentially more but I've already deleted the game so I can't go back to check. If this was a straight port of the original it'd be far better.

When this game launch it was a lot of fun and was a great alternative to vampire survivors (a much superior game in every way). Unfortunately, after they updated the graphics and added the survival mode they also made if pay to win. It's impossible to progress without either paying out of pocket to get fries (one of several currencies, why???) Or watch literally 100s of ads to get enough to actually progress. I'm not even going to get into the audacity to attempt to offer a subscription service. Edited
