Brilliant!:) My family and I have been using “Flute Master” and “Rhythmic Village” for years. It is by far the best app we have ever used for learning a flute/recorder and learning music. We were so impressed by the fun and easy way it was to learn to play our flute/recorder with “Flute Master”. It really makes one want to pull out their flute/recorder and practice as much as possible! :) We also really like the additional songs that you can get to go with the program. The customer service is very knowledgeable and friendly! Our tablet was out of commission for awhile and the “Flute Master” had made updates. No, problem for the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Classplash. They were there to help us get up and going! :) They are AWESOME! :) We are enjoying our “Flute Master” so much that we looking at purchasing more of their wonderfully fun apps! Anyone who is wanting to lean to play for themselves or teach/learn along with their children should really check out “Classplash” app the way to go! :) Plus, they offer a free demo for you to try before you buy. What can you lose – “except” losing out on an exceptionally fun and easy way to play music! Hope you give them a try! :) Edited

It is a very educational music game for children + 6 year old. Your child will learn how to play the flute note by note, it teaches the skill needed, rhythm and how to read musical notes. By using the build in microphone of your device, the game listens to the notes and scores your performance to unlock new levels. Yes indeed, I also enjoy playing it, it is not only limited to the flute, it also works with my piano . Note for people having problems: tune down the volume of your device, it helps. Edited

Thank you very much for the detailed review, Tom. This is really helpful.
We recommend using headphones if possible, but lowering the volume is naturally the next best thing. :)

In 15 minutes I could not get the audio to sync up so I couldn't even make the game functional before the trial expired. And at this point I'm not even sure if it is possible, I could make it work but I was playing out of tune with the music and the audio recorder which you can add in so that you know when you're supposed to play. The functionality is there but the execution is not.

Hi Paul, sorry to hear you had problems with this. Usually the preferred audio delay is between -50 and -300ms, depending on device. Please contact us to
[email protected].
EDIT: we have removed the trial time limit in recent versions!

I've only just tested the intro tutorial but I'm very impressed with the application. I'm very much hoping that future versions will support Alto recorders or perhaps tin whistles, there is a huge amount of potential here. Wonderful support for the game, will be recommending the app to friends, many thanks! Edited

Thank you very much! (by the way, nice effect on your picture) :)
We have actually removed the trial limit just yesterday! You will still only be able to progress until the 3rd level (9 tracks), but no time limit.
The game was built with soprano recorders in mind, but this is a common suggestion we get. Perhaps one day...? ;)
Cheers!

Shortly speaking, it didn't work. Regardless letting all the required permissions to be applied, the app didn't hear me playing. EDIT - I reinstalled the app and it started working all right! I changed rating to 4 star, it would be 5 if I could practice just with notes, not with the bats. Edited
