This is the only app I've found to be accurate in terms of the value scale. I created a test strip in Illustrator/Photoshop and tested on this app and it was 100% accurate. I have no idea why other apps can't be accurate as the file was created digitally. I did a basic colour test strip using the same method and that was also 100% accurate. So I would say any issues in colour and value identification will be because of the quality of the phone's camera.

I just needed to color march a wall, I didn't find the feature in a short amount of time. so I canceled the subscription and uninstalled the app. I thought it was ok, I would have not been charged any money or anyway refunded. instead I can see the charge of 34.99 I think, not sure about the amount. this is terrible. we can't even try an app for a few minutes. I would have been very glad to pay, if I had found the feature. terrible practice.

Perfection, and exactly what I needed! This tool allows you to measure the exact color, in multiple formats (RGB values, HEX, etc). While it is not required, I found the option of a white reference to be ideal! This means that you can add a white piece of paper, or similar, into the frame, and identify it as white. That way, the program can determine if there are any color biases in the light, and can effectively "subtract" that bias color in the light from the color you are measuring.

I don't need it often, but when I do, it's great. Added/edited: Since my short review was appreciated, I have to expand it. :-) From time to time I do some pre-press, desktop publishing, or just some private stuff that needs some color processing accuracy. Sometimes I earn some "coins" but not enough to justify investment in hardware color meter (not even a cheap online store model). I tried this after reading nice and sincere explanation/description about app. Afterwards got Kelvin Meter also. Edited

Exceptionally useful for me as an artist. I've already had a surprise at how subtle the differences in luminosity and hue are between flower petals in the sun and shaded petals. It is also very useful for finding the base color of a subject that is in a color that my phone's camera just can't handle correctly, like bright reds that tend burn out or go orange in cam photos. I really would like to see a user forum on your website so that users can share hints and tips.
