This works. I tested light therapy lamps with virtually no flicker. A couple of junk $9 under cabinet leds were off the charts. Old, cheap, & not DC. The data is accurate. Was unsure on keeping an inexpensive light therapy lamp. It's a keeper. For the nerd that needs to know.

Thanks so much for putting the app through its paces! Really glad it helped you make an informed decision about your light therapy lamp. Enjoy your flicker-free lamp!

Does not work, I can't get it to display the frequency and all the LED I tried indicate. Note that to be fair to the developer, I will change my review if he corrects the issue. extremely low flicker even when I know that there are on some of them. Edited

Sorry for this! Would you please tell me what device you are using, roughly what flicker frequency the LED has and a screenshot of how it looks on your phone, so that I have something to start working with, in an email to me at
[email protected]. Thanks in advance!

It is a great little app! As far as I can find the only one that does this. Bulbs that I would not expect to flicker, incandescent bulbs actually flicker some, according to the app not enough to worry about, while some "fancy" LED bulbs that advertise to be flicker free are in fact flicker free. It is a good tool to help know what products on the market live up to their claims and which do not. Thank you for the great app!

There are apparently 0 usable features unless I pay $7 or sign up for a subscription. Is this a free app, or is this a paid app? If it's free, there need to be features that are free. If it is paid, put the price on the play store. I've never seen a free app that's unusable unless you pay before. Update due to dev comment: I had just installed the app, and it's only offering a "free trial" if I sign up for a subscription. That's what you're advertising as "free for a limited time?" Edited

The app is free to try for a few weeks - just tap Close on the paywall. If you like the app, after that, a subscription or a one-time purchase is needed for continued use. Need more time to test? Email me at
[email protected] and I prolong your test period. Thanks for your feedback Alex!
