Could be good if the ai didn't cheat. doesn't matter how far ahead i am in challenges be it leading in resources, military power or culture, the ai magically always jumps right ahead. More workers and military units than me, but somehow still has more food. 0 buildings that raise happiness and yet they have more happiness than me. 2-3 times more military units. The ai in this board game is equivalent to need for speed hot pursuit ai, if you know then you know. (and yes i watched every ai move) Edited

As someone who loves the CIV series but also didn't want an overly complicated game, this feels like a perfect balance between the two. The AI doesn't cheat. It's just programmed very well w/ short & long-term planning (probably GOAP AI for u tech nerds). The game allows you to undo your turn so you can try different outcomes. MP is 2-4 players/AI. My wife and I like coop, so we try and assist each other but also passively compete. Sometimes the AI notices and pairs up against us. So fun!

It's a great game that you can play with others as well as the AI. Too many devs sacrifice AI opponents, but this is fine example of it working. You can play with other humans, a mix of human and MP, but if you're solo you can play the game as well as scenarios. If you enjoy strategy games driven by resources, opponents, and sometimes the randomness of card draws, give it go. It keeps track of a lot of things for you, unlike the board have, and the most aged thing is not a great tutorial.

Now fixed! == This famous popular boardgame has been implemented almost perfectly! 1) Multiplayer online suffers from network problems 10--20% of the time, from timing bugs to showstopping crashes. 2) Although a surprising amount of information has been squeezed onto handset, this game would be better suited for tablet with large screen. 3) Most negative reviewers complain that the AI opponent is too hard. Of course, this difficult strategy game has a steep learning curve but is quite rewarding! Edited

This app is made so very well and does a great job capturing the feel of the board game on your phone. Almost my first 5 star review, but the are a few bugs: can't connect to online servers unless I'm on Wi-Fi, and clicking certain things while the CPU is playing can cause the screen to stay dark for some time. Highly recommend the app though! Edited
