Love the app, so I finally decided to buy the ad free version but hate the super greedy decision to pay more and subscribe, etc. This is a friggin widget app, since when is subscribing on a pro/paid version a thing --- on a clock? It just reeks of greed when you think paying for app gets you more than just an ad free experience. Anything other than defaults, and it tries to get me to pay more SMH. App is also not cheap. I'm considering getting refunded and sticking to the free edition.

REVISED REVIEW: FYI to all of you looking for the best possible replacement for HD Widgets Clock and Weather, after auditioning dozens of potential replacements, this app is it in my opinion. It has customizable link zones, very nice interface, generous amount of customizations and settings. Many people, like myself reported that the weather is not auto-updating at the widget level in the background. The fix has to do with a very much buried android setting that has to be engaged. Go to your settings, then choose apps, choose Sense Flip. Tap on 'Battery'. Check to see if it says 'Optimizing battery usage' under the setting of 'Optimize battery usage. If so, you must change it to 'Not Optimized'. You do this by tapping on 'Optimize battery usage' and turning off Sense Flip in the list of apps that will populate. That is your fix! I still have a problem with the developer having so many iterations of essentially the same app. In my opinion they should think about app consolidation. I also don't like the idea that after paying for the app to get the 'pro' edition that many of the weather icons are still locked unless I pay a monthly or annual subscription fee. Pretty shady if you ask me. I'll give it 3 stars non the less. Edited

The Dec 2022 Android update took away the clock settings including stopwatch, alarms, timer and the regular clock. The widget went from a a large one to no widget, just a small icon. It has turned into a weather app only and no way to change alarms! And I had purchased the premium ad free version! So, after several emails, this company took the time to help me fix every thing back to the way it worked before the crazy update on Android! They are amazing! An extra star for customer service! ⭐ Edited

Edit: Friday, June 23, 2023 Please provide me with a the pre-update version! The app no longer opens properly on BlackBerry Key2. I have to open the app using the playstore to check the weather. Very inconvienent. Bug said to uninstall and reinstall to fix... it did not. This didn't happen until the most recent update, which I have turned off. So it might have something to do with connectivity on the back end. However, when I open the app using the Google PlayStore, the bug doesn't occur. Edited

Location still not working on Samsung Galaxy 8+ like it was. It used to update location correctly when you turned on the screen. I've been home for over an hour and it still shows me in another town. Used to update within minutes of me driving from one town to another. I understand not constantly searching location but ar least do the location updates when screen is triggered on. Still not happy with this app. Go back to pre December settings. Edited

The application is now targeting the latest Android versions, according to new Google guidelines, and is much more battery efficient. Now it is not possible to update the weather on wake-up, therefore we had to remove that. Note that the changes for targeting the latest Android version apply to all developers and all updated apps.
