2025 -- this app won't work anymore at all 10/5/13 Players of the actual table top version won't be disappointed. The small changes made to suit the mobile version still make it a unique experience. The lack of 'multiplayer' (me and my wife do pass the tablet back and forth) takes from the game's experience though. Its also a great way for someone to be introduced to the tabletop game without the need for the setup. Expansions are extremely tough, I'm still trying to finish all of the unlocks

I do love this game, however, it has some of the most frustrating RNG rolls in any game I've played. After many attemptes on the Cuthulu DLC, 3 of those times I've came really close to completing from a die roll. Rewards from completing rooms don't feel enough, at times it would works against you freeing more monsters on the board. Midnight rooms can also pop up triggering its effects at the last turn. Even with the right moves, it's really RNG and luck. Edited

Addicting game, once you get over the learning hump. It's strange that there are so few monsters (4) compared to the board game counterpart, when they already have the artwork and could just paste it into the app. Maybe this is meant to be a teaser to prompt people to purchase the board game? Expansions are worse. Why pay the same cost as the base game for just one more monster? Aside from that complaint, and an obvious rigging of the dice (which can be mitigated with smart play), great game! Edited

Good game but a difficult game. An undo button would be nice for if you accidentally start an adventure, use the wrong item, etc. Having your money displayed beneath your sanity and stamina would be good. Most importantly I would like to be able to instantly concede an adventure when it is lost, like if you don't have enough glyphs left to possibly win. Instead you have to keep dragging glyphs one at a time until you fail and this wastes your time when you know it's over for you already. Edited

The graphics on this are really impressive for a cell phone game. There are some relatively minor differences from the tabletop version and it is harder. But for whatever it's worth, I have not lost on easy, and win about half the time on medium and hard. It helps to find the right strategy and combination of characters. :) But sometimes even then you get unlucky with dice rolls. Edited
