update 5/4/2025: my recipe builder is not working? please fix? The premium version of the app is great. The free version sucks. Lots of features. I'm a visual person, so I'm obsessed with the food graphics. You can edit the nutrition information of a food that's already saved if it's incorrect. You can create your own recipes. Some things take some getting used to and can be hard to find at times, but it's a nice app overall. I like it more than MyFitnessPal, though I did like their charts. Edited

I like this app, but it is my second choice if I could only choose one. I use 2 and this app has a more extensive library. Custom recipes are easy to create. Navigation isn't hard but could be more convenient. I have a yearly subscription but I do wish they had recipes to recommend for the diet you decide to choose to better direct a user. Plus, any additional information is an additional cost which I feel, should be included to help someone on their journey.

This is a great app, with all sorts of foods included, good weight loss techniques and personalized food items and meals stored away for future use! Plus, when I have a technical issue, I contact the developers and they actually respond, make changes and let me know to update my version for the improvement! Hallelujah! That's a good deal! 3.2025. I downgraded my rating because now each time I come back to this app, I have to answer multiple questions before I can use it again. Obnoxious. Edited

Honestly the app works for what it does, but the Lose It team could definitely use some UX engineers. Things that should be simple are really confusing and everything requires extensive ChatGPT-ing. Settings, goals, dashboard config, etc. should all be managed in the same place instead of all the random places you have to go to manage everything. Also, I am a paying user but the price feels kind of steep honestly.

I was very impressed my this app at first. The layout is good and practical and the database is nicely fleshed out. I started to get a bit unhappy when I found that barcode scanning was behind the paywall, which is unusual for this sort of app from my experience. Over time such annoyances have added up. I had a lot more to say but hit the limit. Put more succinctly, it's a great app that's dragged down badly by its choices in regard to monetization. Still usable, but irritating.
