Used to be a big fan of the app in its original form. I also used to get 5 to 6 news notifications a day on all sort of news from central Florida; it made me feel close to home. Now, I have not gotten a single news notification since they changed app format (I lost count how many times I've checked my settings). Local news are not as prolific as they used to be. The news app may be a great cust-cutting measure, but it doesn't change the fact it doesn't deliver as it used to do before.

Almost an elegant app... Now it's functional, but feels half done. Landscape as default when on a tablet is nice... Except when one exits live viewing (the only way currently is to use the player minimize button) one is greeted with a portrait layout... Also with the latest update the video stream continues when the device home button is pressed, but only as audio... I was expecting to see a pop-up window.... But no. Not sure what the intended outcome is supposed to be. Edited

The Fox 5 Washington D.C. app was better. This one doesn't even have a picture-in-picture setting like the old app had. When I close it out to check a text, I can't continue to watch it in the corner of my screen. However, I can still hear it in the background, though. It doesn't even have auto-rotate, smh. Overall, it's just a poor app bcuz it's not with the times. The old app just kept repeating the same thing over-n-over, but it was still better than this app! Go back to the original app! Edited

The fox chicago app needs to be brought back. fox local app is one of the worst apps ever created due to the fact, there are too many complications. it's not allowing you to do many things that you were able to do and the fox chicago app. It will only allow you to use the app and nothing else, compared to the fox chicago app, you was able to watch the news and still able to do other thing's on the phone same time.

This app stresses me out so much more than it 😫 aids in keeping up with the news. It's so mediocre compared to the last Fox Five app. It states the same thing 2 and 3 times and doesn't really detail the news. You get a lot of what they don't know versus what's known. I used to read the old app religiously, but this one stresses me more than anything. I barely open it and instead Google search elsewhere to find the news. Reading the same thing sucks especially if you are an avid reader📚 Edited
