I am changing to a 1 because the game is so messed up right now!! Won't load lagging and freezing since the last update now you can't even get on the game . It's ashame, ive been playing the game every since it started. Best game online!!! It is a little complicated at first and has gotten very expensive. Very time-consuming and very addictive. Edited

not worth it, it is all about the money. if you don't spend money, I mean lots of money, in the thousands, you have to spend years & many hours to be high level. high levels go around attacking lower levels even if your in alliance. Have to have shields up all the time, but only options are 8, 24, or 3 days. if you are late by a minute you are zero out troops and resources. It takes a long time & lots of resources to get back. Gameloft is not very good at working with you on issues.

I just started the game & I can't upgrade my walls to level 2 because I don't have enough resources. I've played MANY games like this & progressing for the most part (regarding construction) is relatively easy. This one is just a pain in my ass. I never spend real cash on games in the app store because it's a waste of money but here it seems like you have to. Take some tips from Clash of Kings.They are very generous with the rewards they hand out even if you don't spend money on bundles.

I have been playing this game for years and it was phenomenal but they changed it to pay to win. Everytime you get good gear they come out with a new pack to buy that is better and then after a few months they put out a new one. Game has become trash, they scammed the best way for some resources and speedups. GL has become trash and don't expect to be coming back.

When you have a problem with the app, expect to wait 2 weeks before you get a response from customer service. Changes made to the game keep getting worse. I wouldn't download and start playing. The biggest problem is attack and defense ratio. Everything that has taken years to build can be wiped out in one attack. The defender can lose billions in might and the attacker loses a few million might.
