I really love this because it works in airplane mode, without GPS, and in places where there's no signal. There are no ads, and apparently no required permissions. Easy to read at-a-glance. Has the look and feel of a real compass. Clear orienting lines and easy-to-dial bezel. However, I think the app only works as well as your device's magnetometer. My phone's magnetometer can be sensitive to nearby interference, and sometimes is just "off" for no apparent reason. But that's not the app's fault.

It works very well indeed. I got it for free when it was on sale, but it's good enough that I'd consider it money well spent if I'd paid $1.99 for it. I've tried three or four compass apps and this is certainly the best yet. It's accurate, it requires no permissions, it shows no ads, it doesn't seem to be sending or receiving any data, and it has a clear, simple, and straightforward interface that's easy to use. I'm very pleased with it. Update: it's not working on my new Moto G :( Edited

Thank you. A compass that WORKS. Maintains reasonable accuracy over several days, even after phone is turned off and on again. Native compass kept rotating 90 degrees, then inverting 180 degrees. This one does not (Nokia 3). Would be useful to have a 'calibrate now' button. Edited

Description reads, "We bring updates to Google Play regularly to constantly improve speed, reliability, performance and fix bugs," yet the last update was over two years ago. Also reads, "This is ad free (no ads) version of my compass" but the link is to the free (ads) version. Rather careless. At least their English is decent. Edited

It is a simple application, it reads the magnetic sensors on your phone and tells you which way your going. No ads, no bells, off line with no cellular signal or wifi needed, and no extra stuff. Just a compass and it loads quickly.
