In place of address info, embedding and storing GPS data is more helpful. Calibration is a bit confusing, w/o a calibrated db meter to adjust db offsets. Playback not showing location information, shown in the initial recording screen, making retrieval of that info, when sharing, difficult. A few tweaks will make this an awesome tool. as it is, this is still a competently useful tool and money well spent.

This is a great little tool to have in your arsenal. I would give it 5 stars but it's missing something that would make life so much easier. It, of course, uses the main mic for it's sound detection. For general levels, holding the phone normally is fine but not if you're interested in a particular sound source. In that case for best results you need to have the mic pointed at the the source. That means looking at everything when the screen is upside down. It would be nice if there was a setting that would allow the screen to flip. Allowing you to see everything normally but be able to have the mic pointed at what you're trying to record. Besides that I have zero complaints. Edited

the app is great although it is not easy to record jumping and stomping from the apartment upstairs. noise level at 20-30db(what is the app showing to me) is annoying aswell when is constant and affects on studying and peace in general

Hi and thank you for the review. Remember to calibrate the app before measuring, a room with practically no background noise should be c. 30 decibel.

The app won't stay on if the screen times out. I've adjusted battery settings but it won't let me make longer recordings
