I don't know why, but when I leave the app and go back in, even after I turn off my phone and turn it back on, when the videos I'm watching are at 4K, it drops frames like crazy!!! It literally requires me to close the YouTube app and go back into the video I was watching when it happened!!! I have a 2024 Motorola Edge, for God's sake!!! This phone may be a mid-range phone, but it can play 4K 60 FPS video!!! 500 characters just isn't enough to express my disappointment. Please fix it! One star.

I'm having deja vu here. At this point I've been paying for youtube premium since it was an option. Other than making YouTube ad-free my most used feature is definitely the popout player and background play. But the control buttons have stopped working and I can't skip or play/pause without opening the app. UPDATE: Now I can't add anything to my play queue. I get an error when I try. This is another paid feature that is no longer working. Does anyone have a solution for this? Edited

YouTube managed to get rid of the tabs at the bottom of the screen for; subscriptions, shorts, history/playlists, and profile. Edit; from one to three stars, the problem was fixed. twenty minute long ads(and longer) with AI voice-over are a huge downside. additional edit; typo. edit; back to one star, TO MANY ADS!!! cut it out with finding more ways to shove ads in our faces for no reason! you already make a ton of money, stop it with the ads! Way to many commercials. Literally if you try to watch 10 mins of YouTube content in general, you will at least watch 10 commercials in the time frame , and almost all of them pop up right when something important happens in an educational video or a good part in someone's content , and then you have to rewind to watch it again with out the commercials. update added , it's gotten even worse . you get ads now even if you pause a video . , you can't even watch the content anymore Edited

Idk if it's just me, but for a year now, YT has been glitching, and it's not my internet. Also, the ads are pretty annoying. Some things are pretty questionable and inappropriate, but mostly okay. Also, if I click on shorts one video pops up, and the rest are all previous ones I've watched. That can be pretty frustrating. Other than that, it's a pretty good app to have. Edit: I no longer see shorts that I have before all the time, but it is still INCREDIBLY glitchy. Edited
