Im not sure why this game has an almost perfect rating. After just a day of playing, I'm already completely stonewalled in the game. I'm too weak to progress and earn coins, so that I can get better ships and upgrade my crew. It's painfully obvious that they want me to spend real money in order to progress. The concept is great and the game was fun before I hit this obvious paywall. The only way to progress and keep playing is to spend money. No thank you.

Honestly, the game is a lot of fun, and it does well with combining the theme / UI / art / sound design. The strategy of troop placement is interesting as well. However, ship prices are outrageous, and the paywall that you hit after a casual hour of playing is very obvious. It would takes months of playing unlock. Maybe getting to certain levels should unlock a basic next "class" of ship? My lvls have outpaced the ships I can buy, and I think, "lol, I could get those now if I dropped $70."

I'll give them credit, few games have helped me play them less quite like this one. Grind to get a new ship, lose to a ship ranked 200 points below yours and your ship is unusable out for repairs for 15 minutes. $19.99 a month to buy the ad removed rewards is laughably greedy. it's an interesting game and I'd enjoy it if the ship strength actually made any sense whatsoever, but as it is, it's wild who thought some of these things was a good idea.

Filled with Bots: The game is pretty good until you reach a certain point that they find you overpowered and send Ai bots that are named Player### after you. The bots are your level but attack you with items unlocked at much higher levels than the account is. Not only that, but there are tournaments filled with the same Player### bots that fill most of the top 2-10 slots to try and get you to p2w for the emeralds. Sadly, this isn't the shadiest of games out there, but it's still annoying.

This is a truly great game with many strategic possibilities. The only "downside" is when an update is available, you cannot play this game unless the update is used. And when the update is installed, all the progress is completely deleted and the game forces players to begin all over again with everything that was fought for totally gone! So, great game but bad updates.
