This is a good tool for the working musician, and I use it for gigs and rehearsals. There are two drawbacks. They do not keep the Android version up to date. It's a couple of major releases behind the iOS version and so does not offer the optional features for drawing or PDF editing. To add your own books you must create the PDF file and load it into your device, then create an index and upload it through the web site then sync to your device through your account.

The Android version of iGigBook is up to date. Lack of demand and limitations with Android itself is why it does not have all of the features of the iPad version. Lack of demand is why you don't see a version of forscore for Android. iGigBook offers over 80 different indexes. If you have a custom PDF you can create your own custom index.

I was quite happy with Igigbook on my Android device for a couple of years. However - it is clumsy to work with (having to use a web site to install charts.) and turning pages is problematic in the middle of a gig. Sometime the page turns, sometimes it doesn't. If this was the only option in the market it would fill the bill pretty well. However there are alternatives. In the Android sector Mobilesheets is a wonderful alternative. you can manage your music directly on your tablet without the cumbersome web site - or, even better, you can manage your music on your desktop and then transfer the whole setup to the tablet.you can either rebuild the whole lot via a restore from backup (create backup on desktop and then "restore" to the tablet. Or you can sync one way or two way between the desktop and the tablet. And you can do that via WiFi - no cable! Also no more trouble turning pages turns are easy and reliable. every feature in igigbook resides in mobilesheets plus many more. There exist a collection of indexes for most popular fake books and it is pretty easy (but tedious) to create custom indexes. It appears the android version has become an orphan as well.

We've never heard of an issue by user with regards to page turns, tapping to turn the page and swiping to go from song to song work without problems. You do not use a web site to install charts in iGigBook. The content manager for the over 70 indexes that we offer are marked active and inactive using a web based content manager.

If I didn't play a transposing instrument I would be reasonably happy with this app (3*). But I play a Bb tenor sax. The indexing across some of the publications is a mess (1*) because some of the Real Books don't have the songs on the same page or in some cases omit some songs all together. The original C-pitch book is used as the reference for the index. It must have been a huge effort entering the indices, but the Bb (and Eb) indices need to be checked and uploaded as well in future versions. Edited

The Classic Real Books (so-called illegal ones) all have the same songs in the same order on the same pages whether it's a Bb, C, Eb or bass clef version. The same is true for the Hal Leonard versions of these books. We know this because we use these books with a single index. You must check PDF files you have downloaded from the internet.

DO NOT BUT THIS!!!! It is clumsy to use, has a fixed, limited amount of indexed pdf's with nothing from the current era. It is awkward and buggy. Their support is rude. If you play jazz, learn your charts. If you play rock / pop, use the internet. This thing is outdated and I wish I had believed what so many other reviewers wrote about it's clumsiness and limited indexes before buying it. If I am on stage I cannot be fussing with this (not that the included fake book index even has anything I play). Better to have binders with paper that never crash, stutter, halt, freeze ... (Why couldn't you give me a refund? I only owned it for 3 hours before asking)

Musicians purchase this app because it delivers on the promise that it makes which is to allow you to quickly access musical resources that you own on the gig. The app works, the indexes(over 70) cover recently published digital editions of books by Sher Publishing and you can easily add your own.

This app worked pretty well on My Nexus 9 for quite a while. Then, I had to wipe my tablet and start from a clean slate do to problems with Netflix. Netflix began to work but now Igigbook won't boot. I have reinstalled it and tried a couple of other things that occurred to me but with no luck. I have the latest android version.
