I only needed one thing: to open a Spice client connection to my Proxmox VE virtual machine. This looked like the tool for the job, but as soon as I try to connect from my Proxmox app, I'm hit with "This requires Pro functionality!" message and I apparently have no way to connect until I pony up the cash. I get that you wanna get paid for your work, but let the customers try out the product to be sure it meets their needs before you lock down and force them to pay. Waste of time even installing.

Buy and refund if not happy. So simple it hurts.

stuck on establishing handshake through official proxmox app downloading the .vv and trying to open it the same issue. Shoulda listened to the people on reddit but I thought it might be fixed by now. Update spun up a windows vm connected immediately. Rebooted Ubuntu and immediately connected. In short I'mma tard. Edited

Hey, John, how can we make it 5 stars? I am definitely not aware of such an issue. Could you send me the Reddit link by email? [email protected]. I would definitely have fixed it by now if somebody actually let me know what's up.

Doesn't seem to work - when I connect to my host (CentOS 7) it only shows a blank grey screen with nothing else and no way to pick which KVM VM that I can see. Maybe somehow this doesn't support managing servers that are at runlevel 3 without a GUI, its unclear.

Hey Matt, I never saw a response from you. The app has undergone many changes since your review. For instance, I found bugs in the RedHat library for the SPICE protocol that needed patching in order for the connection to succeed to certain servers. Sound not working right on x86-32. It plays a few seconds and then silences. Ac97 works slightly better with aSPICE version 3.7.9 while with HD Audio it is nothing but choppy dings and silence when playing videos. Edited
