About Pixel Soldiers: Saratoga 1777

1777, the year with three gallows in it, and perhaps the most crucial year of the American War for Independence. The British sought to control the Hudson River valley and crush the colonial insurrection. The campaign was a failure, and in the end British General John Burgoyne was forced to surrender ... read more

I've played other games about the American revolution that is offered for my phone, and this is the best one. There's only one minor complaint, and that is the Battle of Ticonderoga. Playing as continental it's difficult to achieve a major victory. Even with the setting on private which is supposed to be the easiest setting. I hope that Jolly Pixel is working on a Lexington and Concorde maps for the Sand Box. The last update wiped out my game play. Edited

This is a fun game. I have one suggestion for a mechanic: capturing artillery pieces. When you succesfully charge an artillery unit, I think that it would make sense if you could capture the guns, as it would be difficult for the enemy to take them while retreating, and I have heard of this happening all the time in real battles.

Really enjoy these games, easy to use but still very tactical and in depth would like to see maybe a WW2 game I think it would work well with your system and is such a broad topic you could make many different games for each different theatre. And would open up new possibilities for limited time aerial units that come and go from the battle and all the various armour units and I think it would just be a great game.

Coming from the ww1 game it's been a pleasant experience up until Ticonderoga battle, where a stupid difficulty spike against continental side made me almost quit the game. After so many games you would expect a balanced experience and it really was in ww1, but not in this. Reading the comments I was not the only one, and I wish they fix it somehow.

Fun and tense tactics game! Heartily reccomend any pixel solider title of you like wargames. Haven't gotten to beat it, to time put in, my skill as a general, or as others have mentioned, the difficulty. But it's always fun to jump in and chip away at a battle or replay an earlier one. Edited
