Game is a decent time suck at the beginning, but it definitely caters to whales. 2x $10/month for VIP and Season Pass. Everything in the store is pretty outrageously expensive, the cheapest thing you can buy is '$2' with in game currency if you purchase the most expensive package of currency ($100). You can watch a bunch of ads for some things, but you'll never match the capabilities of whales and the matchmaking ensures you're facing those whales 75%+ of the time to pressure you to go whale. Fun game until you hit the pay wall at chapter 20. If you make it that far. I have all rares and one purple. Still can't win. Back to farm more rares for no gain. Game is now a chore. Not fun. Doing same mission for a 1/15 chance for a rare that doesn't help at high chapters amyway. So you must buy packs to continue.... Downloaded again after years of not playing just to see all my progress was gone back to level 1 . I mean who wants to play the same levels again.

Addictive and funny. My only issue is whenever you watch an ad, there's a banner with the games name "throwdown" on it, black background, and it covers the top of the ad so pressing the x to close the ad is hard if you can't see it :/ so sometimes when that happens, I will barely see an x and be able to press it. But 50% of the time it's a swing and a miss cus I'll also press on the add and open the link to it 🙄. Or I have to close the game and rewatch another ad 😑 please fix. It's annoying!!

The worst kind of "pay to win" there is. it starts out easy enough, making it seem like you can play and compete just fine without spending money. But it quickly ramps up until you're surrounded by the type of people that have either to much money or too little life. I gave this game months to see if I could do it just on the few bucks I get from doing surveys and it's not even close. Even the PvE challenges quickly escalate to the point where they become a huge effort for very little return.

1st the graphic showing the 5 star to 1 star reviews is reversed. I scrolled down through 100s of negative reviews and found a very few marked 5 star. the bugs many people mention have been there and most are fixed and new come with each upgrade and are fixed in a timely matter. this is not a game you will ever enjoy without spending money. a lot of money. the newest, most powerful cards required buying packs and are seldom if ever seen in the free awards. free to play free to lose
