Like the other reviewer said: does not display videos on the widget. I tried twice. I even transferred a video over to its own folder and set up a Gallery Widget to view only that folder. Just in case it had trouble with mixed media. It was a 3 minute video I shot with my phone's camera. I have a flagship phone, it's only a year old, stock launcher, no memory card, stellar internet. There's absolutely nothing I am doing that would interfere with the process of this app or make my case unique. Edited

Its pretty cool, but for 5 bucks? You have to allow me to pick a folder man. There is zero rhyme or reason for how it behaves. It literally goes out of its way to avoid the photos I want displayed. Let me pick the folder that I want selected. Simple dude. You've got a cool little app here. It's very much like the original gingerbread photo widget that I missed dearly for years now. Fix it and I will happily sing its praises and give it the 5 stars it deserves Edited

Note to anyone: Sadly it does not play any video, Even if it says Photo & "Video". (Read the desc, It might clear things up.). If anyones concerned, it's actually hard to show a video format in widget form. There are apps to do GIFs though. Anyway, UI wise it's hard for a beginner, to read and digest but slowly easy in a long time. Settings icon shows up on widget, nothing to do with that. And somehow quality of photo is reduced? Overall, there is potential but not much.

Great app. Yes it's basic and is only useful if you want to add widget pictures without excessive options, but IMO it has 2 big advantages over other photo widget apps I looked at in the play store, namely its small memory footprint, and the only permission being the reading of your storage, which is obviously required for the app to function. Because this app doesn't have any invasive permissions or advertising and does exactly what it needs to with no frills, I was happy to pay the upgrade.

I thought you pick the photos or pictures you want not the stuff you screenshot or already have in your Google photos (which is a mess and I don't want showen). Please fix this problem and respond to this message on your app review ASAP please! But other than that I love this app, I really do!

When you don't select folders then it displays images from database ordered by time. If you want only images from camera then select folder dcim/camera. I hope you understand me. It is primary for fast access to last taken pictures.
