Overall the app is great. My biggest issue is that while this app allows me to move items from one shelf to another, the books don't always "stay" where I've moved them too. So a shelf had 20 books on it, a day or two later it has 17 books. This is really frustrating when trying to catalogue and inventory my shelves. I've just moved cross country and books disappearing off shelves when the "box" shelf no longer exists is problematic.

The app constantly bombards you for premium everything it's opened. You can only have 50 books in the free version. No batch ISBN scan unless you pay for premium, while other apps do it for free. Can't change the cover if your book version is newer/older or completely wrong. The app does have the choice to sort by title with articles ("the","A", etc), or without articles. Edited

No local backup. Bookshelf is automatically shifted to cloud only and is NOT available offline. Developer suggested offline version as workaround for dropped connection causing added books to disappear. App should save locally and backup to cloud, or give this option. This will be a dealbreaker for me if not sorted in next version, despite other planned changes. Edited

Hi, thank you for your review and your suggestions. As you might have noticed, listing by surname as well as multi selection are available now since a few versions. With the latest version it is also possible to create a backup file. Maybe you give the app another chance ;-)

My wife runs a little free library and wanted to catalogue the large amount of excess books she has. This app is perfect for what she wanted. Biggest benefits (for us) are the very fast barcode scanning capability and the ability to to export information to a spreadsheet.

I love it this app is brilliant I am a disabled person who love reading because easiest hobby going if slightly expensive for the books (but what the heck)
