This app's conversation function was amazing, especially in school settings with so many languages in one classroom. I have a friend that speak Egyptian Arabic and it translated the context very well while it also translated to Russian and Spanish and Dutch at the same time. Unfortunately the conversation function no longer works. It's writes it all in English. I saw many complaints from educators with no response from Microsoft. It's super disappointing it's not supported anymore.

Trust Microsoft to take a what was a decent, working and useful app and screw it up. Because adding AI doesn't automatically make stuff better. Particularly when you remove really handy functions like "detect language" from the list of options. It was something I used frequently. It's also something AI would actually be good at too, ironically. But Microsoft are idiots, so I'll be using a different translation app now

Horrible updates. I've depended on this app for so many years. Especially the 'DETECT'. I can see that option when you advertise the app,but cannot find it inthe actual app. It's stuck on translating English to Spanish or vice-versa. It would have been helpful to make smaller changes or offer the option to keep the old system. My first sign of any update was when it kept shutting down. That forced me to reinstall. Also, is anyone going to make an attempt to respond with individual help?

After the newest update, I can't stand the app. The formatting is ugly and unnecessarily complicated. Feels like it's trying to push users teaching users instead of simply translating my text. Has some new features (that I'll never use) but removed the ability to view different forms of a translation and what the context behind them. You can no longer view the two translations for Japanese. Also can no longer copy the text easily. I'd much rather use Google translate, and that says something. Edited

I used to love this app for HK Cantonese translation until they changed up the whole interface. I used to be able to use it without an account and it was a lot more user friendly if I just needed something translated. They seemed to have changed it up to make it more usable for live conversation translations, which I never use in that context. Also, it no longer has a speech to text option, which I use quite often being that I'm a better speaker than a writer for Cantonese Chinese.
