I believe this service is either very poorly supported or a scam. I have used it for several years without issue. In the past few months, I've been to several countries (Macau, China, USA) and every time the esim works for a few hours and speed stopper. Tech support is slow and completely unhelpful, repeating suggestions that do not work. Each time I have bought an esim from a different service that works instantly and flawlessly. I recommend avoiding this service.

Bought for second time, installation fine, activation never worked. Couldn't log into chat, app kept saying I was offline but wasn't true. So I bought it for nothing, lost money. I had to try to communicate with a 2nd cell phone & they kept asking for screenshots, so they weren't reading what I was writing. Lost money!!!! Edited

I've been using this app for a couple years now! it was a lifesaver while I was traveling internationally and allowed me to access data quickly so I could navigate and book Ubers as soon as I got to my destination. now back in the states, I found it's less expensive to keep using airalo than it is to use the data from my phone carrier! I'm a happy customer and have rarely had any issues with service.

POS app. Doesn't work. Says my device is rooted. It's not rooted. Probably has something to do with the fact that this app has 9 trackers in it according to Exodus. I've also been told that they severely price gouge in this app with prices as much as three times as much as that which you would expect to pay with purchasing physical SIM cards locally. I was willing to give it a shot anyway but not now!

Used Airalo for a recent visit to Tokyo, Japan. Unfortunately it was very unreliable. Access was inconsistent, working one minute and no connection the next yet I hadn't moved. It may have been a Samsung/android thing because an Apple user with me had no problems at all. I personally wouldn't use it again with a Samsung phone.
