It's a really fun game, solid controls, good time waster. Pretty much exactly what I want in this type of game... and then there's the monetization. Your energy depletes everytime you play and consumables are the primary way to refresh your energy. There are chances to get the consumables through actions in game, but they are clearly designed to not be sufficient to have you able to continue playing without purchasing more. It's really disappointing, I'd happily pay once like for retro bowl.

Masters 1000 and Grand Slams are almost impossible to win. If I lose one point, the opponent wins the whole set and starts leading the next set. if I win one point, the best I can have is to win one game or force tiebreake. Not to mention the fact that when the play is supposed to be frozen because it is my chance to return the ball, the opponent can literally run like flash and relocate his position WHILE THE PLAY IS FROZEN???? I only recommend this game if you like to feel dumb and frustrated.

I really enjoyed this game. The shot power/placement took some time to get used to, but do the training and pay attention and it will help. I read the reviews about the energy, so I updated the fitness first. I had no problem watching an ad when I needed NRG. Played consistently without paying anything. It took me a couple seasons to win all grand slams in the same season. I wish there was something more gratifying to win the Grand Slam. Maybe additional bux or exclusive gear.

It's somewhat frustrating in the beginning. But do the training sessions. After a while you get the hang of spins. The energy system works out after you get fit. Then Grand slams. Initially would have rated a 3, now a 5. Don't have to pay to win, but i bought a couple of things later just to support.

I really enjoy the simple style and mechanics of New Star Games. This game is a little easy, even in hard mode. After getting exp through the first season, my character was nearly maxed out on all skills. I think a cool addition to the game would be making active tournament bracket tables viewable. Also, adding a pause button during a match. Edited
