I adore this app, when it's working. But 9 out of 10 times when I open it, it's stuck in manual mode, and I can't find any way to disable it. I've read all through the Help, and the only reference is to "long press on the right side of the screen" to turn on Sensors Mode, which is strange since this has no effect and there's nothing on the right side of the screen to press on.

Wonderful app for amateur astronomers! Lot's of easily-accessible information to satisfy all your curiosities! I've been using this app for a year or so now since getting into astronomy, and it has been the perfect compact guide to the wonders of the night sky! As a history lover, one of my favorite parts about this app is the sky cultures section, which shows constellation maps from many different cultures from all over the world! Nothing but good things to say about this app!!

Every 5 seconds this app asks me if I want to 'get a massive collection of sky objects up to mag 22' and I really don't and it is making the app unusable. it seems to happen after I zoom in past a certain amount. I don't want them on and it is also unclear if I could toggle them off if I bought them, but I don't want to pay to stop being annoyed as well. I love to use this app to see where objects in the sky will be in the future. Edited

Hello. We are sorry about that. We will take note of this and improve user experience. Feel free to also let us know if there are features you wish to see or improve. The desktop and web version of Stellarium is completely free as well, if you prefer. It can be accessed at stellarium.org and stellarium-web.org

I love this app! Definitely better than other 'star map' type apps. The free version isn't too limiting, and the premium version is extremely cheap. Very easy to use, and the fast forward feature is pretty useful to plan ahead on certain days if you're going out to stargaze. Nearly every star has a detailed explanation, which is really fun to use.

I find Stellarium very useful. I had some difficulty figuring out a number of the features, so I would have appreciated documentation. I would also like a few additional features: 1-some way to return to real-time when I get lost and it appears frozen. 2-some way to measure the degrees between 2 objects. 3-some way to force it to recalibrate when I notice it is not tracking any more 4-documentation to explain how best to hold the phone for the fastest recalibration. I highly recommend it.
