App works and connects but it could be easier to use. The advanced features are in your face and some of the more basic stuff is elusive and in sub menus. A heads up copy of what's on screen would be nice. The menu remote assumes you can see the screen so not really a remote. It saves touching the camera while filming to reduce button noise. If you could make it scan the local subnet to find the camera then great. More for an advanced user with a tablet, pls make it small mobile phone friendly.

The App works in principle, but not for our purpose: we have multiple cameras, which is supported, but... Switching from one camera to another takes very long time (the connection is not held). Furthermore, the error messages are meaningless, more information on Password- or User-name errors or others all result in "Communication errors". Also, please document the XML protocol, so that Open Source Apps may access the cameras: all we need is accessing Zoom (and possibly StartRec) for multiple cameras. Thank You.

What's there is good but there needs to be more. For example: 1. Live view would be great. 2. Battery status. 3. Camera menus. The app has buttons to manipulate the menu but if you can't see the screen on the camera then those buttons are useless. (Edit: Apparently the CHAR switch in the app allows the menus to display on the HDMI output. That mostly addresses my item #3. Since the battery status is also shown via HDMI when the CHAR switch is on then my item #2 is also mostly satisfied.) Edited

No live view?! Bought a panasonic camcorder advertising that it can be controlled with this app. It certainly can, but unlike Sony and Canon remote Android interfaces this will not show a live view. What good is this app if I'm not standing right behind the camera? And if I'm standing right behind the camera what do I need this app for?

Over complicated app! Still no luck connecting despite following all instructions. Would be nice to have a stream to the app to visualise changes.
