fantastic program until it wasn't. I've been using it for a week both on my Wi-Fi network and my mobile network and suddenly it won't pick up an IP address and won't even respond to localhost. I just upped my rating to four and want to update this post. by selecting IPv6 and reselecting my file folder I'm working again. so there's something funny going on maybe it is my mobile device not allowing ipv4 internally I have no idea but problem solved Edited

Awesome simple little server. Also, I noticed another review said it didn't list file contents, but it does seem to do that now (or at least it does do that on my phone) Pair this with a hotspot (or WiFi Direct hotspot) and you can share video files stored on your phone with people during a boring stretch in a road trip). I know the description says it's not designed to stream media, but my mp4s played in browser just fine. Kinda like your own inflight movie service :) Edited

Simple, small and exactly what it says on the tin. I downloaded 'Lessons in Electric Circuits' from ibiblio. My four "open with"s won't load the pics. I have Duckduckgo and Firefox, but neither appear in my "open with"s. I tried multiple html viewers and editors, as well as "open with" editors, all either failing when offline or to add my app preferences; then I thought, "Is there a basic web server for Android?" YES THERE IS! All I had do was change the folder and extension (htm->html)!

It works as a local HTTP server, and is easy to set up. however, when trying to run a web app locally, it would take multiple seconds to load audio from my internal storage, and sometimes that audio cuts out briefly. Edit: This is because I've been using the file API on my browser, which is purposely gimped on mobile browsers. This app is great. Edited

Keeps getting worse with each update. Homepage stops working constantly. Have to keep restarting the server to fix it. This app used to work flawlessly, but the last few updates have been terrible. Edited
