The night mode is little confusing and hard to get out of if your screen timeout is relatively short. This needs looking at.

This app is underrated. It's the only one I found that will let you see through it at any angle and the compass works in vertical and horizontal.

Seems to work fine. I am not sure how accurate the compass in an S9 smartphone is. But this app is well designed though.
