Its like Dead Cells lite. It's neat. It could be better with less sloppy controls and combat. You kinda get used to it, but the line between automation and user input is confusing. I might have enjoyed the Dash feature more if it was a button press rather than tied to the control stick, but I could be wrong. Gunplay in the game is confusing cause so far I haven't found it to be much use compared to dash combat.

Amazing game, great story. I notice a LOT of complaints about controls in reviews. So here are some tips for new players: dashing is NOT NECESSARY, you shouldn't rely on it to get to enemies. Wait until they fire a shot at you and use smash to reflect it. And to use Fury just click the button below the pause (that's not just a meter!). Using invulnerability is kinda boring, instead use 10% bullet speed and 80% game speed on easy mode. Makes it so much easier without it being impossible to lose.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy it without a controller. There's no fixed joystick option. It is really difficult to get used to not being able to touch a certain area of the screen and subconsciously know which direction you're going to go. I usually prefer a dynamic joystick, but not when dodging is so critical and you dash by swiping. It feels like you're fighting the control scheme more than the enemies.

Needs a static/dynamic joystick option. Spikes on ground so small you can barely see. Dash mechanic conflicts with the dynamic joystick. Play for 7 or 8 minutes and it feels like you just did thumb day at the gym for 3 hours. Just to make no progress whatsoever. Anytime you want to make a quick adjustment to your position in order to dodge you end up dashing instead. Flings you right into enemies or spikes. The right hand buttons are way too small. blast of instead of smashing and whatnot

Wow! Very good game made unplayable by having no option for a fixed joystick. Zero responses from the dev team on any reviews here mentioning that so obviously they don't care or aren't involved anymore and it's in someone else's hands. Very fun very stylish but unplayable without a controller. Not worth buying. It was free from play pass and I still wish I could get a refund. Edited
